Drone Research
In May 2014, we decided to take our skills to drone technology. The drone industry is a growing market and we wanted to be apart of it.
The project - titled: Low Cost Motion Sensing Drone Surveillance Prototype - is focused on us developing a UAV Drone surveillance and sensor system where a swarm of four UAV Drones will fly over a designated region and relay live video to home base. This system would potentially be used by the National Gaurd, local law-enforcement, etc. for search and rescue missions.
At the moment, we are using one Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 to build the prototype. We are able to manually and autonomously control the drone and relay live video feed and flight and gps data back to home base. With additional funding from investors and grants, we hope to expand the prototype to contain the four drones and build the system we aim to reach for.
As we continue to work on the prototype, go to our blog to keep up to date with our progress.
